Praise God for our 2016 Summer/Fall Tour - The Gospel Truth! What a joy it was to share the Good News that Jesus is our Savior through this musical presentation!
This 70 Minute Multi-media Musical Program includes many well known Gospel songs that will have you smiling and singing along! Some of our favorites include: Take Off Those Rags Lazarus, When We All Get to Heaven, Leaning on the Everlasting Arms, Just a Closer Walk with Thee and I'll Fly Away, to name just a few.
To make sure everyone remembers the words, we project many of the song lyrics on our video screen, along with colorful graphics and video clips synchronized to the songs we are singing.
We shared the stories behind the songs and the Bible verses that inspired them. All of this was presented in our signature Praises Unlimited style, with a good dose of humor and an attitude of Christian Fellowship.
We
kicked off our tour on June 4th and had a great time when we visited LeBleu Chateau Gold Side in Burbank California for our special preview The Gospel Truth! concert! We had a lot of singing, some great laughs, shared some memories and a few quiet tears of joyful reflection along with an unexpected intermission when we had to move our truck so the city garbage truck could pick up trash (which led to a few more laughs and a special musical number by our ladies)!
Continuing thru the end of September, we presented this program at 8 different locations from Simi Valley to Capistrano Beach, CA! We had a great time praising God with our old friends, and making some new friends as well!
We were especially blessed at our concert at Brookdale Northridge to have many of our family members in attendance, including some who traveled from Illionis just to hear us for the first time ever!
It was a fun and inspirational activity, enjoyed by kids and adults of all ages!

What a great time we had on our Summer/Fall Tour!
This Tour was especially exciting because we were not only Celebrating Jesus, we were also celebrating that through the Grace of God, Praises Unlimited has reached the milestone of 100 shows!
When we first starting touring Nursing Homes, Retirement Communities, Assisted Living Facilities and Convalescent Homes in 2009, we had no idea where God would lead us and for how long He would bless us with the ability to Share Christ Thru Christian Music. We are excited and thankful, that He has allowed us to perform 100 shows and will continue forward unless He gives us a new direction.
Celebrating Jesus! is a multi-media musical program which packs 21 classic and contemporary Christian worship songs into a 75 minute program.
The program incorporates many different musical styles from classic to Doo Wop and celebrates the joy that comes from living in a world with a risen Savior!
As always,
there are several sing-along opportunites and we display the song lyrics on our big screen to encourage everyones participation.
The last Celebrate Jesus!
Tour was 2010 and it was our longest running tour. This year we did 9 shows and had a really great party during show 100 with our friends and family at Evergreen Retirement Home in Burbank CA!

Our 20th Anniversary Musical Tour
2012 was entitled "Shine Your Light!" This entirely new program included
17 songs, new video segments and Bible readings! Of course we included some old favorites such as "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", "He's
Got the Whole World in His Hands" and "This Little Light of Mine".
Eleven
of the songs in the program had never before been performed by Praises
Unlimited making the program a mix of new and old "Favorites".
In 2012 Praises Unlimited celebrated our 20th Anniversary! Hard to
believe we've been together that long!
God has really blessed us by allowing us to continue our musical outreach
all these years! Let's take a brief look back at some of our roots!

Diane, our soprano, is a charter member of Praises Unlimited which was formed on December 6, 1992. She has a great sense of pitch and if there is a
high note to be sung, she's the one who can hit it dead on! Diane began taking professional voice lessons when she was 11 , and at the age of 13 was singing solo's in her church. She
was a much sought after Wedding soloist back then as well. She performed in many high school musical productions and met her future husband (Mike) when she
was just 17 and performing in the starring role of the musical Hello Dolly!

Sheri,
our Alto, joined the Praises Unlimited team in March of 1993, just three
months after it was formed. We nicknamed her "the Harmonizer" because
she has a natural ability to pick out the right harmony for any song.
Sheri grew up in a musical family. Her father was a singer
on the radio and her mom was a Broadway performer. She and her sister Kim
began singing duets in high school back in '71 and she was a member of the
musical group "Living End" during her college days. She started performing in
church around 1988.

Perry
is our lead male vocalist who can pretty much sing whatever needs to be
sung. Tenor, Bass, Alto, Soprano, you never know where he's going to
turn up! He is also our Keyboard player. Perry began piano
lessons in 1968 when he was 7. At 12 years old, he toured briefly with
Bob Ralston of the Lawrence Welk orchestra and also served as a worship
leader at his church. He was very active in musical theatre
during his high school years and had his own rock and
roll garage band. Perry joined Praises Unlimited in January of 1995.

Mike,
the drummer & sound engineer, is a charter member of the Praises Unlimited
team dating back to December 1992. Mike started 2 years of piano
lessons when he was 8, and hated every minute of it!
It wasn't until 1970 that
Mike, then playing guitar, along with his sister Sharon began leading
Christian folk songs in the church where
Mike's dad was pastor. He started playing drums when he was 16 and by the
age of 17 was playing drums for contemporary church worship.
Back in 1997, Perry and Mike formed the
Christian Songwriting Team of Kucenski & Voogt. They have written over
40 songs to date, including a completely original Christmas Musical.
From 1992 through 2008 our praise team provided worship music for over 830
Sunday church services. In 2009 we were
called by the Holy Spirit to take our music "on the road". We began
touring retirement communities in March of 2009, bringing them our unique
style of multimedia program which includes video syncronized to Christian
Music, Bible Readings, stories behind the songs, sing alongs, and our
delightfully humorus banter! We don't charge for our services
and we don't accept donations. Our average audience is 30 souls, but
we have played to audiences as small as 5 and as large as 95.
Since 2009, we have presented 133 concerts with a cumulative attendence
in excess of 4800. All by the grace of God!
Our first tour in 2016 was our Easter Season program entitled Alive!
which was presented on a limited number of dates in March/April. This multimedia musical program takes the audience
from Jesus entry to Jerusalem, through the Last Supper, Crucifixion and
finally to His resurrection on Easter morning! It features a wide
variety of musical styles all performed live with drums, keyboard and the
wonderful vocal talents of the team. Many songs are syncronized to
videos which are projected on our screen and we display the lyrics of some
of the songs to give folks the opportunity to sing along with us!
Alive was first introduced three years ago and is a revised version of our very
popular Road to the Cross program. The difference is that the second
half of the Alive program concentrates on the good news of Easter, which is
Jesus resurrection!
Listen to
Praises Unlimited perform a great song called "Comfort Ye".
What are we all about?
Praises Unlimited is an independent Christian
Praise Team. Our mission is to use our musical talents to share the
message of salvation anywhere, and with anyone we can! Sharing Christ
through Christian Music is our motto and we strive to give the first fruits
of our talents back to the Glory of God in everything we do.
We are a self-contained unit which means we
are able to come to your facility with our own instruments, sound and video
equipment. This helps us ensure the highest quality performance
possible and minimize impacts to your facility and your budget.
Typically, we do not charge to come to your
house of worship, nursing home, assisted living facility, school or other
non-profit organization.
We understand that we
are bringing our program to folks of many faiths, and various beliefs.
We have found that almost everyone enjoys the content and quality of the
programs we present regardless of their personal beliefs. Our programs
feature Christian Music, video and readings from the Holy Bible presented in
an entertaining and comfortable style. After our programs we always
take time to meet and greet each resident and thank them for spending part
of their day with us. We never force any material or literature on the
residents, but we sometimes offer them a small remembrance of our visit and make
available a large print copy of the Gospel of John. Each resident is
free to accept or decline whatever we may offer.
If you are interested in having Praises Unlimited visit your facility, send Mike an email
here.
If you would like to be on our emailing list, just say so in your note.
Jesus loves you! He paid the price of
your salvation by dying on the cross and then rising again! Because He
paid this price, you can live forever with Him! Hallelujah
What are we up to lately?

So far this year we have presented our Alive! Easter program. We are now running our Summer/Fall 2016 Tour titled The Gospel Truth! At all of our programs we make available
large print copies of "The Gospel of John" at no charge. Residents are
welcome to accept or decline any memento or literature we make available and
we love them just as much, regardless of their decision!
